Use these guest ranges as a starting point. The right capacity depends on seating and the space needed for food, cake, decor and activities. These planning ranges are not verified venue capacities.
Café / restaurant
Best for: Birthday dinners, small family meals and celebrations with friends.
Typical guest size: 10–40 guests
Pros: Food, seating and service are already in place, so you can add simple decor rather than build a full setup.
Tradeoffs: The space may be shared, which can limit privacy, music and activities. A minimum food spend may apply.
What to confirm: Will the space be private or shared? What is the menu and minimum spend? Can you bring a cake and decor? How long is the table or room yours?
Banquet hall
Best for: Larger family birthdays, first birthdays and celebrations with a stage, games or entertainment.
Typical guest size: 50–200 guests
Pros: A dedicated indoor room with space for seating, a buffet and a planned programme.
Tradeoffs: A hall charge plus a minimum number of meals can raise the bill. A larger room may need more decor.
What to confirm: How many people fit comfortably with the setup? How many meals must you pay for? Is there air conditioning? When can the decorator and other vendors enter? What are the sound rules and extra charges?
Rooftop
Best for: Evening birthdays and smaller groups that want an open-air setting.
Typical guest size: 15–60 guests
Pros: Open air and views that can carry the look with modest styling.
Tradeoffs: Heat, rain and wind can change the plan. Sound limits and lift access may constrain the event.
What to confirm: Is there a usable indoor backup? Are edges safe, especially with children? Is there step-free access? Check lighting, wind-safe decor and the music cutoff time.
Lawn / outdoor venue
Best for: Larger gatherings, outdoor games and birthdays that need separate activity areas.
Typical guest size: 50–200+ guests
Pros: Room to spread out food, seating, decor and activities.
Tradeoffs: Weather backup, lighting, power, toilets and furniture can add cost and coordination.
What to confirm: What happens if it rains or is very hot? Check ground condition, power, washrooms, lighting, parking, music restrictions and setup and cleanup hours.
Studio / private space
Best for: Intimate themed birthdays, creative activities, surprise parties and photo-focused celebrations.
Typical guest size: 10–30 guests
Pros: A private room you can arrange around a smaller group.
Tradeoffs: Food, furniture and cleanup may need separate arrangements. Hire slots can be short.
What to confirm: Can you host a birthday there? How many people fit comfortably with the setup? What are the food and cake rules? Check furniture, washrooms, ventilation, sound limits and cleaning or overtime fees.
How Vyntra shortlists venues
Guest count → area → budget → food → decor → sound → parking → timing.
We use that order to shortlist spaces that could fit your celebration. We then check food, decor, sound, parking and timing. Availability and final terms still need confirmation for your date.
Tell us your guest count, area and budget. We’ll shortlist suitable venues for you.
Share your guest count, area and budget if you know them. Our team will review your brief and contact you to discuss suitable venues.
